TOSHIBA Satellite Bluetooth (broadcom) not working

Read the post which starts with “You need to install firmware.”. That’s what worked for me.

I got the firmware from this link: http://devid.info/ru/68560. There is another one in that post.. don’t know if they are the same… haven’t tried it. The other suggestions in that post, including getting the firmware from Broadcom’s official site did not work for me. Neither did the github project (https://github.com/winterheart/broadcom-bt-firmware).
